Eureka Enviro Steamer

Eureka Enviro Steamer

The Eureka Enviro Steamer has gained a following in recent years and has grown to be one of the best steam mops you can buy.

It is no secret that the Eureka Enviro Steamer and the Haan Slim and Light are my top two picks for best steam mop and if you don't want to spend a lot of money, than I recommend going with the Eureka. It typically costs about $40 less than the Haan because it doesn't have the carpet attachment. Here's a look at the Eureka's features, pros, and cons.

  • Adjustable handle
  • Lightweight - 5 1/2 pounds
  • 12 1/2 inch cleaning path
  • Heating up/cooling down tray
  • Water level indicator light
  • 2 cloth mop pads
  • Fill cup and funnel

Eureka Enviro Steamer Pros

Very well made. The Eureka Enviro Steamer is well made. I didn't see any widespread reports of the mop breaking like the Shark Steam Mop does. It also seems to have a good life span. While the Shark seems to have problems for

Price.  The Eureka Enviro Steamer is moderately priced. If you are looking for a steam mop but don't want to spend a lot of money, it is the best lower priced steam mop you can buy.

Adjustable handle.  Having an adjustable handle is always nice. You can adjust it to accommodate your height. Just a little touch but it makes life easier.

Water tank size. Some feel it's too small but the water tank on the Eureka Enviro Steamer is actually bigger than many steam mops. You should get at least 15 minutes of steam time per fill up.

Eureka Enviro Steamer Cons

Mop pads shrink. The mop pads tend to shrink a little the first time you throw them in the washing machine. I seen it recommended somewhere that you hand wash them but I didn't want to deal with that hassle. Mine shrunk a little and I have to work a little harder to clip them on the mop but it isn't a huge problem.

Water tank is located in mop head.  On the Eureka Enviro Steamer, the water tank is located in the mop head. This gives the mop a higher profile which means it's a little harder to get it under kitchen cabinets, appliances, and furniture to clean. Also, the water tank being located on the floor makes it feel a little heavier to push than my Haan Slim and Light which has the water tank located in the handle area.

Lacks a carpet attachment.  The Eureka Enviro Steamer doesn't come with a carpet attachment. If you wanted to use your steam mop to sanitize your carpeting and rugs with your steam mop, then you should choose another model. The Haan FS20 Steam Mop, Haan Slim and Light, Monster Steam Mop, and Dirt Devil Steam Mop all have carpet attachments.

I personally own a Eureka Enviro Steamer and I can attest to the fact that it works well and is a really good steam mop. You can't beat the price, the performance is good, and it is well made.

Not everyone is pleased with the Eureka Enviro Steamer though so I suggest you read some of the positive and some of the negative reviews on it and then decide for yourself whether it is right steam mop for you.
